About My Practice

After receiving my degree in social work in 1992, I have consistently worked in settings which serve children and families from diverse populations such as public schools, youth and family social service agencies and health clinics. I have a solid knowledge base and skill set in working with children and teens, but beyond that, I have a passion for youth and feel privileged to become a part of their growth and development. As your child's provider, you can depend on me to be present and effective in helping your child overcome or manage whatever she or he is struggling with, as well as advocate for your child's needs in other domains such as his/her educational setting or healthcare. As your child's provider, I will support your efforts in parenting by including you in treatment planning and interventions as appropriate. My philosophy of practice is inclusion of parents/guardians as much as possible. The evidence is clear that when parents are actively involved in their child's treatment, the outcomes are far more positive and the treatment is more sustainable.
